Telegram is where a lot of community and support conversation actually happens, and it is easy to miss messages when they live in a separate app. Pulling them into your shared inbox means nothing slips through.

How to connect
Connect with a bot token from @BotFather, or connect a personal account by phone number with an SMS code (and 2FA password if your account has one), Telegram does not use OAuth.
- 1On the Social Accounts page, choose Telegram and pick bot or personal.
- 2Paste your @BotFather bot token, or enter your phone number and the SMS code Telegram sends.
- 3Open the inbox to start reading and replying to messages.
Your data is safe
Bot tokens and personal-account sessions are stored encrypted at rest and used only to receive messages and send your replies. We never store your Telegram password; the optional 2FA password is used once during connect and not retained.

Not with the post scheduler. Telegram is connected for messaging only, so the composer and calendar don't publish to it and channel posts or broadcasts can't be queued there. Incoming DMs, group messages and posts in channels the bot is in still reach the inbox, where you read and answer them.
Telegram bots start in privacy mode, which in groups only delivers commands and replies to the bot's messages. To bring every group message into the inbox, make the bot an admin of the group, or turn privacy mode off in @BotFather with /setprivacy and then remove the bot from the group and add it again.
Not without cutting that service off. Telegram delivers a bot's updates to one webhook at a time, and Social media studio sets its own when you connect, so the other service stops receiving messages. Create a separate bot in @BotFather for Social media studio instead. Disconnecting the bot later removes Social media studio's webhook.
Not at once. A workspace has one Telegram inbox, so connecting a new bot, channel or personal account disconnects the one you had. Pick the mode that covers what you need: your own bot for its DMs, groups and channels, one channel or group, or your personal account for one-on-one chats and group messages that mention or reply to you.
