Every social media manager knows the pain: you've got a great product photo, but it's buried somewhere in your downloads folder. Or worse, you've already uploaded it once last week but can't find it in any platform's post editor.
So-me Studio's Media Library solves this by giving you a single, organized home for every image, video, and file you use across your social media content.
What Is the Media Library?
The Media Library is a centralized cloud storage system built directly into your So-me Studio dashboard. Instead of juggling files across your desktop, Google Drive, and each platform's upload tool, you upload once and reuse everywhere.
Think of it as your content team's shared asset folder — always accessible, always organized, always ready for the next post.
How It Works
1. Upload Your Media
Drag and drop files directly into the Media Library, or click to browse. You can upload individual files or entire batches at once. Supported formats include:
- Images: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, GIF
- Videos: MP4, MOV, WebM
All files are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 and served via CDN for fast access worldwide.
2. Organize with Folders
Create folders for different campaigns, brands, or content categories. For example:
Product Photos / Spring 2026Brand Assets / LogosVideo Content / Tutorials
Keep things tidy and findable without spending hours searching.
3. Use Media in Posts
When creating a new post, click "Select from Media Library" to browse your uploaded files. Pick the image or video you need, and it's instantly attached — no re-uploading, no waiting.
This works across all platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, and Threads.
4. Track Your Storage
Each plan includes a storage allowance. You can see exactly how much you've used and how much is remaining right from the dashboard. Need more? Upgrade your plan to unlock additional storage.
Why This Matters
Without a media library, your workflow looks like this:
- Find the file on your computer
- Upload it to the platform
- Wait for it to process
- Realize you picked the wrong version
- Start over
With So-me Studio's Media Library:
- Pick from your organized library
- Post
That's it. Less friction means more content published, faster.
Best Practices
- Name files descriptively before uploading —

- Delete old assets periodically — keep your library lean and relevant
- Upload in bulk when you receive new assets from designers or photographers — batch it and organize once
